Who we are
ALOTO Prediction Pro ("the app", "we", "us") is a football score prediction app for private groups. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at support@alotopredictionpro.co.uk.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Your email address. Used to create your account, sign you in, and send account emails such as password resets and competition invitations.
- Your display name. Shown to other players in the competitions you join.
- Your predictions. The scorelines you enter, and the points they earn.
- Competition membership. Which competitions you belong to and whether you are an admin or a player in each.
Information collected automatically
- A push notification token if you turn on prediction reminders. This identifies your device to the notification service so we can send it a reminder. It doesn't tell us who you are beyond your account.
- Basic technical data such as your device type and app version, used to diagnose faults.
We do not collect your location, your contacts, your photos, or anything from other apps. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Why we use it
- To run your account and keep you signed in.
- To score your predictions and build the tables and brackets in your competitions.
- To send reminders before kick-off, if you've asked for them.
- To respond when you contact support.
- To keep the app working and fix problems.
Our lawful basis is the performance of our contract with you (running the app you signed up for), and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and functioning. Reminders are sent on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings.
Who can see your data
Other players in a competition can see your display name, your points, your position in the table, and your predictions after each fixture kicks off. Before kick-off, your predictions are hidden from everyone else, including the admin.
People outside your competitions cannot see anything. Competitions are joined by code only — there is no public directory, no global leaderboard, and no way to browse other people's leagues.
Services we rely on
We use a small number of third-party providers to run the app. They process data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Supabase — database and authentication. Stores your account, competitions and predictions.
- Netlify — hosting for the web app and this site.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of push notifications, if you enable reminders.
- Apple — handles payment if you buy the Pro unlock. We never see your card details; we only receive confirmation that the purchase was made.
Some of these providers operate servers outside the UK and EEA. Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and predictions for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Aggregate results already recorded in a competition's history may remain, but they will no longer be linked to you.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the data we hold about you;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete your account and your data;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- withdraw consent for reminders.
Deleting your account. You can delete your account from Settings inside the app, which removes your data automatically. If you'd rather we did it, email support@alotopredictionpro.co.uk from the address on your account and we'll action it within 30 days.
If you think we've handled your data badly, please tell us first — we'd rather fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
The app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to the database is controlled by row-level security rules, so accounts can only read the competitions they belong to. No system is perfect, but we take this seriously and will tell you promptly if something goes wrong that affects you.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll tell you in the app.
